I debated whether or not I would post this one. I generally post my poetry mainly in the hopes that it might offer some encouragement to somebody, and I have my doubts this particular poem is capable of such. But as I lay in bed tonight attempting to sleep and finding sleep to be far from me, I decided to post it anyway. It probably won't stay here long. It feels incomplete in some way. And I guess my greatest fear is that it will not find resolution. I do not care to publicly discuss the specific circumstances that "inspired" this poem. But if it helps to ease anybody's mind, while the situation hasn't really changed, I believe my ability to cope with it has improved at least a little. Perhaps not as much as it needs to, as that is likely why I find sleep so unattainable despite my tired state tonight.
